This activity in Cancun is truly amazing and not to be missed if you are visiting the area from the beginning of June until mid-September. Private charters available, please contact us for details.
The whale shark excursion departs from Gran Puerto Cancun, transportation is included from Cancun and Riviera Maya (please specify your hotel on the next page and pick up time to be confirmed upon booking)
The whale sharks are commonly located off the coast of Isla Holbox and Isla Contoy. During peak season it’s usual to see 30-50 whale sharks at a time and as they float to the surface to feed on the plankton, you jump to the water and swim alongside.
These formidable creatures are filter feeders so they swim against the current, put your snorkel skills to the test to keep up with a fish that is twice or three times your size.
This incredible whale shark experience in Cancun is a dream come true, you will also come across giant Manta Rays as they swim in groups and surround you with curiosity.
After your swim it’s time to head to our beach club on Isla Mujeres where you can relax and enjoy a buffet lunch and drinks.
Arrival time to Gran Puerto is 2.30pm and from here we will drop you back to your Cancun or Riviera Maya Hotel.

On average the tours last year encountered between 20 and 50 Whale Sharks during the course of their tours.
